Solid waste generated in campus mostly dry waste (rubbish) which includes paper, leaves of plant etc. The waste also includes garbage generated at college canteen, so total waste is combination of dry and wet waste. The disposal of solid waste in campus is divided into two parts first part is collection and second part is separation of waste. The separated part is dumped at one common location, this site make accessible to solid waste disposal unit of Wagholi grampanchayat. Further complete final disposal of waste done authority of Wagholi grampanchayat. Institute is going to run individual solid waste disposal system and the process is under execution.
The waste liquid (sewage) generated in campus consisting characteristics of municipal sewage. To treat sewage the institute has its own sewage treatment plant which treat waste water on continuous basis. The capacity of plant is ……… and consisting with following treatment units
The treated water is used for gardening purpose and other miscellaneous work. The institute not generates any kind of toxic waste water.
At the end of every academic year the list of the non-working computers and other electronic equipment from each department is collected during desktop verification process. E waste generated in campus is generally consisting of broken key boards, broken computers, electronic circuits etc. The institutes E waste disposal system run on the principle of asset recovering and recycling. The whole volume of E waste is handover to Hi-tech Recycling India Pvt. Ltd. from last five years. The E waste of institute is managed in proper procedure, set by Government of India Environment protection laws and regulation. Some of the outdated computers are donated to Zila Parishad School of Bhawadi Village.
