The department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering was established since inception of the college in 2006 with the present annual intake of 60 (First Shift) and 60 (Second Shift) students. In tune with the growing demand profile globally for Electronics manufacturing, a Post Graduate Course in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with VLSI and Embedded Systems specialization is started from the year 2011. To nurture the research environment, the department started a Ph.D. research center approved by SPPU. The department has well-qualified faculty members having various specializations relevant for the Industry. The faculty, PG and research students working in research areas related to cutting edge technologies such as Cognitive and Software Defined Radio in Wireless Communication, VLSI and Embedded Systems, Communication Networks, Signal Coding and Communication, and Robotics and Automation. The department strives to train and empower our students who will make the world a better place by using power of engineering principles, techniques and systems. The department has well equipped laboratories including Research and Project laboratories with high-end equipments required for Industry. The department is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) due to its research culture, well equipped laboratories and experienced faculty members. The department strives to develop long term relationships with Industries and market the student's talents effectively through seminars, symposia, workshops, and conferences and also through its performance in the examinations and placements. The Students are thus provided high level 'Leads and Pathways' that enable them to gain access to a broad range of 'high potential' and 'hi-tech' Career Opportunities. Industry interaction has been increased with several programs conducted with the help of industries and placement in such industries is also achieved. There is a tremendous requirement of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers every year in the fields like Mobile communication, Networking, VLSI, Embedded Systems, Signal processing etc. This only goes to indicate that, as in past, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering discipline will continue to offer lucrative jobs for many more years to come, hence probably termed as an evergreen branch of Engineering. |
